    A question for our ancestral slavers
    From my brown sisters, brothers, cousins—
    from all of us,
    still bearing the weight
    of history
    on our backs
    and in our blood—

    Is it too much to ask
    for our love,
    our loyalty,
    a lifelong obligation—

    to repay debts
    for the mere fact
    of our existence?

    Author’s Commentary:
    “Is It Too Much?” was written as a quiet but firm confrontation—a question posed not in
    anger, but in clarity. It reflects the enduring emotional and psychological burdens that
    descendants of enslaved people carry, and the audacity of expecting gratitude or loyalty in
    the absence of historical reckoning. Written on July 4th, it challenges the nation’s
    celebration of freedom while so many still carry chains made of memory, injustice, and
    silence.

    My Inspiration for writing this poem Titled: Hidden Souls is sometimes I wonder why did the Most High put it in my heart to want to be a decent human when there are so many road blocks in choosing that course.

    My cards I turn face down, hidden in the silence of sound..
    My speech is bound, because my spirit must stand still on open ground.. I go inward to treat my wounds.. At times allowing my tears to go, for another round.. and My cards I turn face down.. in an unfair race of life and death my spirit holds its frown, afraid to turn to the lost and found.. because to be found by man I will be forced to reject brown tears and be a hand to confound my peers.. With my pleas to unite rejected by whole towns.. With chaos being all I see around.. My cards I turn face down.. I know that what is in my spirit is right but with no more strength to fight, turning my back forced, I lounge.. unable to move without the help of another noun.. Unable to fold.. My cards I turn face down..

    My Inspiration for writing this poem Titled: ‘Answer To Your Question’ is I support freedom of speech.

    I can’t share the guilt you feel for persecuting me without a crime.. you tell me to vibe high but hate to see my due process of crying.. You asked me “Who are you?” when I was never the one hiding.. I heard what you Really said through the shield of words. You, are really hurt. While telling me to smile the whole time you relied on and needed tears in my eyes.. As soon as I started to climb out of the gutter of binds you came back and argued with yourself 3 times.. and from my perception your perception is the definition of lying.. I’m sorry I can’t hurt for you anymore. I can’t be the one you look to and feel better because at one point I felt worse than you. I hope you feel better, this is me replying from my point of view. This cue is and always was Freedom of speech I’m reciting.. this is not personal I appreciate you for using your words too, from yours true, kindly.

    Readers thoughts: This poem inspired me to understand that freedom of speech is a right we all have and should never be treated as a crime.

    My love. . . -We listen with our thoughts and hearts/ When your worlds are softer and true
    When what falls from your lips comforts and soothes
    We listen carefully and quietly when your intentions are not emasculating and dark
    For you will always be the sweetest Whisper, the sweetest of Whispers in our hearts
    We are quick to convey our love
    When what you’re speaking is like the morning dew
    You’re constantly pulling our heart’s strings when we know your respect for us is
    something old and something new. ️

    You must know that there’s a force of darkness
    Trying hard to erase the unity of us
    Attempting to separate the truest meaning of love that comes only from above
    But what we need from you
    Are constructive conversations about us
    Not one-sided words of aggression
    That limits who we are

    There’s a kindness we both possess when we’re composed, and assurance is felt.
    When we know we have each other’s back, front, sides, and everywhere else

    So please let this animosity fade with positivity and faith.

    When rare diamonds go unnoticed
    Darkness increases to cover the
    True beauty and purpose of
    a thing
    -Violence is the only knowledge of
    Mad men, their understanding is
    An unjust weight
    -Deplorable, disgusting, a stench
    In the nostrils of justice were liberty
    Is often denied
    -Where eyes once filled with hope
    And liveliness is darkened by
    Irretrievable deeds of souls
    Broken and hardened by the
    elements of self-hatred

    -What escape do they seek
    In hope of a borrowed redemption
    Where darkness excludes the
    entrance of light
    -We’re reminded that animation
    And expiration is vying for the

    -Wielding anomalies of past

    I have dyslexia.
    My thoughts have always been…
    those of an artist —
    but they don’t always
    come out clean.

    Sometimes they rush.
    Tangle.
    Freeze.
    Or scatter across the page
    before I can catch them.
    But they are still mine.

    I see in pictures.
    Feel…
    everything.
    Taste the weather.
    Carry music
    in my chest.

    My mind is a film,
    a painting,
    a long run
    through fields
    with ideas
    flying past.

    I’m neurodiverse.
    I think differently.
    That doesn’t mean I’m broken.
    That doesn’t mean I’m less.

    I remember —
    being a child
    in school —
    tiny hand gripping
    a big blue biro
    in my LEFT hand.
    And a teacher…
    placing it firmly in my right.
    Telling me,

    “Write properly.”
    But I couldn’t grasp it.
    That’s why now,
    I use both hands
    to write
    my truth.

    So why —
    when I use AI
    to shape my thoughts —
    do people act like
    I’m cheating?

    Do you shame a runner
    for using a prosthetic leg?
    No.
    You cheer.

    AI helps me express
    what’s already there.
    It listens.

    Sorts my feelings.
    And helps me give them form.

    The school system
    never knew what to do with us.
    It measured spelling —
    not soul.
    It didn’t see the art
    burning in our right-side brains.

    I’ve always loved art.
    Music.
    Mary Oliver’s The Journey.
    Beethoven.
    Jazz.
    Unbearable Lightness of Being.
    Running.

    Now —
    I walk in wild places…
    and feel

    Would you tell Einstein
    his spelling made him small?

    my way of thinking

    In texture?

    Mfs like to victimize!, create all types of storms then try to run and cry, prolly shoulda dressed
    more appropriate for the weather outside! or you can just dig deep inside where accountability
    lies and accept that you caused your own demise. We all have decisions to make for our very
    own betterment. It’s no one’s fault if you don’t know what’s best for you or yours, cuz your own
    worth and self love determines that. Whatever bridged, burned is no longer my concern. I’m only
    building and learning done with putting together pieces that are meant to be broken. We are all
    humans and everybody makes mistakes! But true growth always comes from acknowledging the
    part you played. It’s so easy to play the blame game when you don’t wanna be held
    accountable. I have no problem with saying ” I fucked up” or ” I know better”. A lot of individuals
    are in the “knowing” and still refuse to do better. Lessons aren’t lost so even when it’s a lil
    stormy I look forward to the nice weather. Step into the light, ain’t gotta be intimidated by my
    energy just understand that fucking with me, gone get you some shit that you don’t want but
    need. I talk how talk cuz I’m forced to dumb shit down, Hmu when you wanna listen to some shit
    that will shake ya soul! I’ll be around, I walk wit a lil stroll cuz I ain’t scared to hit the ground,
    been there done that I’m playing for keeps, ain’t no going back and naw I can’t match ya nasty
    ass energy. Never thought I was better than the next, I just came a long way! Grateful for a
    peace of mind so these thoughts gotta get expressed. I feel like if you think somebody thinks
    they’re better than you then maybe it’s true because I always felt like everybody was my equal.
    But I can only speak for myself. I learned a long time ago that I have a different point of view. I’ll
    never judge ya for shit! do you boo boo, I respect mfs who ain’t afraid to step into the light, even
    with a dim light you’ll shine just not as bright, cuz sometimes shit takes time to get right!
    Perspective is everything is all I’m saying….

  • Who Are You

    Would you believe me if I told you that I know exactly who you are! I see past the
    facades, yeah life’s been hard but every time the big man wakes you up, that’s your chance to a
    fresh start! I get that you’re mentally frustrated and emotionally scarred. But as long as there’s
    life in your body, you gotta play your part.
    Whatever happened to you, already did! I’m so sorry that your trauma always makes you think
    back to when you were a kid, but this is reality ya dig?… Nobody at this date should have to pay
    for what you’ve been through! It happened, let it go! Not for them but for you. You either can
    pass out hate or decide to be great!
    Just understand that what you give is what you get! It’s time to be intentional, you gotta
    be more precise. You can blame whoever if you want, but at the end of the day, it’s your life. You
    can only get hurt when you focus on hurt, that’s the law of attraction, now it’s time to take action
    on what you desire.
    Whoever told you that you didn’t deserve to be happy was a liar, you have to make a
    choice to vibrate higher. Don’t you wanna get back to that person before the pain and trauma and
    rainy days? You gotta pray and focus on the good, because playing victim will only leave you
    yearning to be saved. How long are you gonna let the wounds from your past hold you down? In
    order to heal, you have to acknowledge that mfs treated you how they felt on the inside. You
    have to claim the strength behind that trauma in order to restore that love, confidence, and trust
    back into yourself, even if you take it slowly. You’ve been lost for a while, I get it. But now it’s
    time to take a stand and figure out who you are! Because what you’ve been through should never
    determine that!

In the movie the man became blind as a child and his dad would tell him to turn his weakness into his strength.     Constantly reminding myself what it means to be darker than what society has deemed beautiful

    From Bodegas in NYC
    the melting pot of the universe

    To narrow minded southern cities tucked away in “American “tradition

    My kind ain’t right
    Hair loc’d , lips asymmetrical
    Black is what my momma made me
    Proud to be who I am

    500 years can’t define
    My race, creed nor religion

    I stand a fixed in a place destined to gentrify my community

    Oppress my ken folk

    I used to think that confidence was a feeling to be spent.. but she was a dirty bitch, only to the money would she consent.. Making love to her gave me the respect I grew to love and resent.. She was hair and nails done and a car that I could only afford to rent.. I liked the way she spoke in my defense.. She even made them fear me in a sense.. Through their eyes she drew compliments.. but most of all she was a secure fence, from questions, from judgement, she could mold an audience only to hide my soul from its own intent.. until one day I realized the clothes she gave me were not mine but were lent.. What she gave me was an image while the real thing hid in its own suspense.. The image was always an expense while confidence the real thing didn’t cost a cent.. When I met her it was intense like meeting the real me renewed without the dents.. Now I don’t listen to mankind because they were all quiet when my mind was bent.. I used to look in the mirror and see a face but now I see a soul in my defense.

    The colors of the birds I adore.. I look at them and wonder about the ventures they explore..
    I wonder if the ease of their stride matches the life they must endorse.. or are they misunderstood..
    some drowning for a drink of water because for them too taking a risk to learn to live is a part of the course.
    Now when I look at them I see what a survivor can be made of..
    From the way they fly I can see if there is a warrior inside the core..
    The one that almost drowned but won against the tug of the water soaking its wings, while drowning it, draining its life source,
    but something inside refused to be weakened by what at one point he thought was a greater force..
    Now he soars different.. stronger than before.. Now I understand him.. Now I see him..
    He is no longer a them or an it, but an individual who I can feel.
    Now he is no longer just a bird because his inner being won a great war.

    Let’s talk about the other segregation. In Coretta’s own words is worse than segregation. In 2025, still in rotation. Its covert disguise hides behind what I call the watchlist generation. O yeah this is a needed conversation. First off let’s call what it is once again nothing new its called discrimination. Remember this history repeats “we must be hateful to protect this Great Nation.” To make it all okay, attack the target’s reputation. The tactics of abuse mimic a prison’s isolation. Now let’s talk about which group is chosen for this slavery occasion.. Let’s just say it also mimics the prison situation. It is also used to close court cases. Sounds familiar “Don’t take it to trial, plead guilty because your odds are 30 years or 3 years probation.” If there is no evidence and you’re innocent and broke you can sit in prison for 3 years awaiting a possible salvation simply because you chose to take your chance with litigation, and lets not forget the targeted aggravation. and let’s talk about the goals of the other segregation, is to make exercising your rights into a mental retardation. The other segregation is the same segregation, targeted humiliation, the only difference is covert association.

    Allow me to correct the old me. The version who thought only of the power of an individual forgetting there is no power without unity. Fighting every battle like its me against the world, me against racism built into a system. So yeah I told myself why vote when electoral votes take priority over the majority. But that is for who will be president but we decide who will fill the legislatures. We decide the seniority. We choose the prosecutor in authority. We decide which judge presides. We choose who will be fair and orderly. I looked to the top of the mountain before climbing and realizing that I too have some power in defining. The battle is first lost in the mind. You lose when you believe you have no part in refining and designing our society into a place where every human is given a fair assignment. Let’s never forget the righteous convictions that once defeated division spoken by the Great Martin Luther king Jr. “Give us the ballot and we will transform the silent misdeeds of the bloodthirsty mobs into the calculated good deeds of orderly citizens.” Lets not forget the great words of the Great Fred Shuttlesworth “You have to be prepared to die before you can begin to live.” Their courageous decisions gave us permission. Even President Kennedy understood the mission.  Each generation has to do their part to complete the freedom vision.

    My Inspiration for writing this poem Titled: Gold Standard is racism still targets the people who just want to see a restored humanity.

    They segregate and isolate me so that no one bats an eye when they rape me. When they castrate me of my womanhood they paint in my blood the permission to hate me. As I try to stop the blades from penetrating they say her cry’s are volatile, her tears are not real she feels no pain. After they take from me they say she has nothing standing in the court of law with no family is proof that she is guilty so that they can feel a sense of justice when they forsake me. Whether or not she committed the crime we have scraped away her grace she is no longer human now when I look at her I no longer see her face. Surrounded by a climate of hate placed in courtrooms and convicted without a case. I will tell you why they conspired to suffocate me and chased me to exasperate my tears until my eyes were dry and then they say i told you, she feels no pain it is okay for us to take and berate, she is not a woman, she is nothing but an ape! I say you will never break me, I am a woman. Your concentration to deface me only proves that I am the gold standard to the human race. I am a woman. My Elohiym hears me when I pray. You haven’t taken my ability to look at another human and relate. I feel connected to the best of the best, the connection with all of my freedom fighters, that, you can not confiscate. Connected to the present and history our fight is one, our voices our tears, our stories will forever congregate. We will clean each other’s wounds from your blade, as we strategize and facilitate.  Together we feel each other’s pain, joy and together our souls cry and elate. After all you took from me I know for sure my value you can not pay it is far too great, too sophisticated. I am the definition of 1st place.

    Corruption’s delusion is defined as recreating memories by designing stories with deductions. Jealous and greedy minds at the top looking down making excuses to unleash the heart of destruction. Slowly dissolving love, truth, intuition and righteous instructions… the sensitive in spirit holding clear sight and hearing ears are targeted by weapons of obstruction. Succubus needing to feed constantly, drinking the feeling of another humans eruption. Only able to be satisfied for a moment destroying souls starts to become a sexual seduction. So what do we do? What do you do if your smile is real in the presence of a predator’s appetite eating everyone else to place all blessings in reduction. So focused on destroying but still needing genuine hearts and souls for production. What do we do? If they want your whole cup unaccepting of proportions. When they don’t want to deal with their own hurt and distortions?
    The only way to justify their decisions is to prove that you too will crack under this world of extortion. We must stay real on the inside, to pave the way, for the righteous seed to restore wins.

    Call em out

    (Poem) “Call em out”

    Individuals don’t like being called out, personally I think it’s healthy. I don’t mind telling a mf that they are acting funny at that moment and they can tell me to shit.
    Embarrassment is just an emotion, can’t always get in your feelings when somebody calls you out for not acting the way you are supposed to. shidddd, each one teaches one we all gotta learn.

    I don’t mind someone telling me I’ve stepped out of my lane. I rather come to you with how I’m feeling then sit back and complain, so I call ’em out. Some people may feel like what another person is doing is none of their concern but when that person is in your vibrational bubble what they got going on can easily be transferred!! And a lot mfs be know what they are doing before you call them out;

    they just don’t expect you to call ! I dont think it’s ok with knowing, but not doing better so if calling you out sets you on fire then baby you finna burn. Not telling a mf how they got me fucked up just to keep the peace is way beyond me, i rather a mf call me out then hold it in and resent me. Everybody shit stinks mfs act like the only people that can call them out is a perfect mf, when it ain’t even bout that, it’s more about Growth!

    You can’t grow without being exposed because Growth requires transparency. I’ll never burn a bridge with somebody who boldly tells me about me because I wanna be the best version of myself, and sometimes the closest people to you see things about you that you can’t quite see especially if you have that mentality like ” that’s just me”, that’s fine and all just gotta be ok with being called out otherwise you stunting your growth.

    (Poem) “Ethnic Memory”

    I feel your pain
    smell the swelter that rises on a
    afternoon in a wooden slave shack
    hear chains in the metal sweat box,
    a human bake oven,
    fueled by the intense heat of a day’s hatred
    shiny backs stinging with salt, blood, and earth under a relentless
    southern sun
    as Miss Lillie fans herself in a shaded knoll.
    Your back ached,
    deformed by subservience,
    shoulders sloped like some fourth-class non-human,
    as you cut the cane that kept Miss Lillie.
    This was wretchedness
    locusts whistling in merciless highs
    and the humidity of rivers kissing your pores
    200-years, not long
    slavery’s undefinable sadness still exists
    What would I have been?
    field hand
    breeder
    cook
    mistress
    wet nurse
    rebel
    house servant
    runaway who was hung or punished
    Suppose I was born with a handicap or blind, incapable of
    physical servitude
    unfit for sale
    Would they drown me as a child?
    That may have been a blessing.

    Written poem titled vibe high

    (Poem) “Vibe High”


    Vibe high or die trying mfs in denial with their presentations so they live in illusions instead of actually producing anything, like getting married but disregarding the vows, mfs like to fill roles that make them feel powerful not even realizing that all the power they needed was already inside of them. Pssssh! Everybody “grown” till it’s time to GROWN. How can you live an abundant life if you can’t let what’s not meant for you go! How can you heal from trauma that you don’t even accept? You gotta be like yeah that happen to me but that’s not who I am! You gotta believe that your pain is not your whole story! Trying to put band aids on mental damage makes you vibe low and damage. “Hurt people hurt people” is just a lame ass excuse for a low vibrating mf to be evil. What you’ve been through should never be an excuse to be nasty, it’s gotta lift you up! Vibe high or die trying. I rather vibe high, I move around the naysayers and make away! I get what I give just not in a materialistic way? Ah MF gone pay for some shit that’s irresistible to their soul!! But when your spirit ain’t right, there’s some shit you just can’t afford. I’m a different breed, don’t get defensive when a MF talk shit about me cuz I expect them too, you too! I know exactly who I am and I choose to vibe high! In direct, will never gain my respect, I only pay attention to eye contact. Vibe high or die trying don’t worry about if a person ain’t who you want them to be just only accept the shit that’s for you and everything that comes your way will be true, mfs be so conflicted on the inside that they can’t help but to cause problem’s change your perspective and choose to vibe higher and you will look at shit differently by tomorrow.

    When you got eyes to see, you can’t be drinking and popping ecstasy.
    The serpent creeps, in the hearts of the ones that you trust when you sleep.
    There was a boy, ten years old and wise as can be.
    His first drink of milk came from his mother when she used to be a peach.
    Ten years later, the look in her eyes is deceased.
    Another soul eaten in the streets..
    The soul snatcher whispered in her ears, and told her take away his peace,
    So she offered him alcohol to destroy the lad while he was weak..
    For a while, he became an alcoholic, and the soul snatcher grinning thought he had the boy for keeps.
    Set up from the start, he saw no hope in reach.
    So he tried a new thing and looked up to the sky,and asked the Most High, to clean a soul that reeks.
    The serpent losing his grip offered him every drug, from A to Z.
    Desperate to kill the man before anybody sees.
    With the fire of the Most High lit within his eyes, there’s no way to stop the future prodigy.
    This time, he will fulfill a righteous man’s prophesy.

    to help our brethren stand through these thick walls.
    I fight for a cause..
    I fight to pick us up from the downfalls.
    I pray to give us power over withdrawals.

    But you are my Elohiym.
    I need you, to redirect their spears..

    I knock over all boundaries as I move near your hemisphere.
    No demon can hold me.. because my Elohiym is on the throne making my paths clear.

    With nothing to eat, you fall asleep just in the nick of time..
    Silent lies become innocent, causing innocent eyes to die..
    Trying to survive, no longer able to get by,
    You look over to another and think, how can I deprive?
    You tied your soul to a torn rope with a firm grope
    You held on until the line broke..
    Now the thoughts to take another’s place, will no longer subside
    Please, don’t sing to me no lullabies!..
    I can feel the strife that thrives on the inside..

    Thinking how great it is now that you left the broken tares behind..

    Everything about being evil is weak.
    That’s why pretending to be me, is what you can never be.
    Puffed up in pride, you can never be meek.
    Being bold is a righteous act, not fear-based.
    In fact, that’s the trait that evil lacks.
    Evil is scared of the facts.
    Scared of black ink covered in black.
    Evil is the nut that’s easy to crack.
    Evil is a coward searching for a crowd before they act.
    Monkey see, monkey do, even for the simple task.
    Evil is weak.

    I will always remember those who chose to be my enemy. Unforgetting I will be, until the end of
    me. I never received an apology, so there’s no surrendering.. no mending, to the pain they kept
    lending, supposedly I offend the pretending.. but that’s okay because the truth is avenging,
    especially for the people that the lies are bending. Who’s paying the price for evil to keep
    ascending.. I’m tired of seeing the same thing trending, it seems like for the just, just laws
    are still pending, when it’s all said and done poetic justice is the story’s ending.

    Dear Momma,
    Everything that glitter aint gold,
    But I’m sure you know.
    What once was a breath of fresh air
    Is now a dictator. Prisoners in “your” own home, you and your
    children.
    Where is she? The Momma that doesn’t take disrespect, the one that always taught me to
    speak my mind?!!! I guess we’re both lost and confused because I can’t find
    Her and neither can you. I hope you have a plan B because you always taught us that as well.
    The hate and embarrassment of who you’ve become is perposterous. We humans have
    backbones and use them to stand firm. I guess yours has decayed over the years from all the
    stress, yet you’re still standing and still you rise, all while conforming. Daily struggles might
    cause you to bend, but never break you, not my momma at least. From what I can see, you’re
    bending like a mug and if I may say so myself I don’t like it. Anybody that really knows you
    Momma knows you are better than that. But what I do know, I’m an outsider looking in. I’m
    looking in from the perspective that looks back at you in the mirror. What happened to the

    You laughing at me was a part of the plan. He said, not so fun when the prey plans the run. Everything you did is the reason why I won. The Most High used your wicked ways to determine your next turn.. You had the perfect aim and got shot with your own gun. So let me get this right, even with all your sheep you got conned with your con.. the whole entire time you were used as a pawn.. perfect plans were created from the one who turns the sun.. the same one who created your mom and your son, So if I serve him, do you really want to spawn?. and if you hate me we not serving the same one. We could never be friends but there are no hard feelings in this new dawn.. always remember.. Think, before you shun..

    Can’t you see, even when you win I still elevate. All of your hate makes me stronger
    to lift bigger weights. Now if I thought that you were worth it I could annihilate, but
    to me, you’re pathetic, that’s why I contemplate… I thought about it, and how you conversate
    don’t really match my rates, but when it’s time to trap a rat I never hesitate.. but I
    never kill them, I just watch them starve in their own waste.. if they weren’t driven
    by filth, things could have been different. It’s crazy how the things we do physically
    are driven spiritually becomes the reason for our own fate.

  • Why Do I Care

    The Battlefield

    Why do I care; is what Demarcus asked himself. His journey has been long but yet it has just begun. As he stands and looks down at those who tried to take his strength from him he feels sorrow. There is a part of him that understands his enemies. As they lay trapped in the pitted ground he hesitates with the decision to pull the lever and bury them in the hole they dug for him. Their names are The Longings. Demarcus was drawn to that part of them. Nevertheless that part of them is what they use as weapons to destroy their enemies. Their enemy is the combination of inner strength and hope. The longing within them gives them the power to reflect back anything that you are. When this happens they are able to soften the hearts of their targets.

    Memories Of Sweet Eyes

    Once the target’s heart is softened, The Longing’s powers start to work. It is a slow but effective poison. This poison drains you of all of your strength and hope. Not only do you lose your strength and hope The Longings are temporarily able to gain strength and hope from taking yours. Which is why Demarcus is burdened with the thought of “why do I care.” Once all of your strength and hope is taken you become one of them. That is the part that causes Demarcus pain when it is time to pull the lever. Although they tried to destroy him; he looks deep within their eyes and he can see what used to be hope turned into unyielding pain. Nevertheless not all of them are the same.
    Sadly, some were born into The Longings and when he looks into their eyes he sees the constant thirst for blood. I know that it’s hard to believe but some of them were once good people.

    Recognizing Of Weapons

    Nonetheless they had no compassion for Demarcus when The Longing slandered him to break his strength of character. The organizers of The Longing used the ones that used to be his friends to burn him with hot water. This was done to break his spirit. Afterwards every member of The Longing in pairs of two would hold hands with only their left hand and throw stones at Demarcus with their right hand. This was done to break his hope.

    The Longings only united to do the work that is in their hearts. That work is to destroy strength and hope. It was a strange thing because they destroyed the very thing that they needed to recharge. It could be compared to no one caring about the pollution in the air until they can no longer breathe without oxygen tanks. When Demarcus was almost broken he looked at his arms and legs where he was tortured with hot water and saw no burns. He then looked at his face in the mirror and saw no bruises from the stones that were thrown at him.

    Walking Again

    In that moment he realized that The Longings only have the permission to break you mentally and spiritually. He realized that they were weak and he pitied them. In that moment his heart felt a sadness for them and he asked himself again “why do I care?” He got up that day and started walking. As he walked they threw boiling water, stones and hurled insults. Whilst this was happening Demarcus held on to hope and they started to drop one by one. He then reached a mountain and he saw a twinkle at the top. Therefore, he started to climb the mountain. Once he reached the top of the Mountain he felt the spirit of God within him giving him the ultimate powers of strength and hope.

    The Longings looked at him at the top of the mountain and each person in their spot started to go into the ground. The pit that they were in was as deep as the one they each dug for Demarcus. All of the dirt gathered in a net connected to a lever which Demarcus held in his right hand. At that very moment he had two options. Either he could pull the lever and bury them or just walk away. He looked away from them and pulled the lever. Which some would say was cruel but he knew there was no other way to co-exist with The Longings. He cries as he leaves this place of hopelessness still asking himself, “why do I care?”

Jealousy stems from the perception of seeing someone else’s come up as your downfall. It doesn’t make you inadequate because you don’t have all of the pieces to the puzzle. Recently I talked about creating the pieces of the puzzle that you don’t have. However at times accepting that you don’t have all of the pieces and putting together what you have is all you need to do. Therefore, you need others to complete the puzzle.

    Keep On Planting

    The pieces are missing because the puzzle requires teamwork. The Most High gave each person a few pieces of the puzzle. He may bless one person to be good in the fields. It will seem like every seed they plant turns into a beautiful harvest. That doesn’t mean that you stop planting your seeds or look down upon your own. It just means wow the Most High really blessed their hands in the fields. I am a student of people who are skilled in different areas. I appreciate being able to learn from different people.

    Furthermore the Most High may bless someone with the ability to make fishing look easy. It doesn’t mean you should feel bad because they are gifted in fishing. Just because they are great at fishing it shouldn’t change the fact that you enjoy fishing also. Maybe you are good at understanding nature and animals. There are so many different skills necessary to complete the puzzle. Singing, counseling, drawing, cooking, teaching are all skills.

    Let Go Of The Hate

    Too many times people are being attacked by others just for daring to be outwardly happy about their blessings. If you can’t tell your friends your goods news, those are not your friends. Hearing about somebody else being happy shouldn’t make you sad. However, I am not talking about the toxic fake happiness when they just want you to think they are happy and their energy is giving mad as hell. In addition, their mouths are yelling I’m happy over and over because they want to compete with your true joy. 

    I am talking about when a person is genuinely feeling good about how their life is going it shouldn’t make you mad. Sometimes it just seems like people are just waiting on your marriage to fail, waiting on you to lose your job, waiting on you to get evicted. Life has ups and downs. Never use someone else’s downfall to prop yourself up and learn to be happy for others in their up seasons. With that being said, it is not always meant for you to complete the whole puzzle.

    People Need People

    One person definitely can not complete the Most High’s puzzle. If you think you can complete it by yourself; why weren’t you the only one created? Humans really do have a herd mentality.  Nonetheless we were created that way. This can be used against us or for us. Are you with the sheep that has thousands of members or  millions of members? I rather be with the sheep that has thousands of members because they are the thinkers.

    Be Picky About Your People

    The herd can be manipulated, that is why the media uses it against us. The larger the herd is the larger the lie. It is necessary for the sheep to follow the Most High in order to find freedom. Freedom from demonic strongholds that keeps a person’s spirit locked in bitterness, jealousy, depression, laziness, etc. There is a herd following the Most High too; you just can’t see the thousands as well as you can see the millions. One of the first things the Most High said to man is “it is not good for  man to be alone.” Therefore it is okay to need others; as long as you choose your crew wisely.

    My inspiration for writing (Is This Life) is the hamster wheel that society has created. By no means am I saying to quit your jobs but I am saying use them as a stepping stone to buy some land or get back to what’s natural.

    Working a 9-5 are vital survival hours.. after dealing with a toxic supervisor stressing you out abusing you with their powers.. now it’s 6 o clock you finally making it home looking forward to a shower.. so 7 rolls around.. your kids looking hungry thinking where’s ours.. you’ve been on your feet since before the sun came up.. but it’s all on you, there’s nobody there to give you flowers… I know you’re tired and it’s easier said than done.. this life we live devours.. we were made to live off the earth… made to give birth… made to work.. in our own farms but the money is our curse… take me back to the old days when we knew how to use herbs.. When building our own homes and drinking from wells fulfilled our thirst.. comfort is the demon that’s putting bodies in a hearse.. fast food and no time to work out is why our bodies hurt.. most of us wouldn’t survive a day in the wild.. so what are we really worth? All of our skills were swapped for comfort.. we traded life for a purse.. I’m not saying quit your jobs.. but find your way back to living.. nothing grows without planting a seed first..

    Layers Of Black

    More Than What Greets The Eye

    The layers of black are many. I realized over the last few days how beautiful the color black is. Minus the black heart I referred to in the poem un-tied. Nonetheless black resembles the night. Animals even love the night. There is a level of safety mixed with a level of danger in the night. It feels good to go to a busy well lit park that sits over the ocean at night. The night provides privacy that is either used to do good or evil. You are either in peace or at war at night. In the animal world hunting is more exercised at night. The joys of camping reach its best moments at night. There is something about the night that eases anxiety. This is only in settings where you feel safe. On the opposite end the night can increase anxiety.

    I remember dark nights getting off of the bus walking alone. My anxiousness would be through the roof. When I finally reached home I then would sit on the porch in my safety nest and enjoy the peace of the night. Laying out looking at the stars and the moon just makes things quiet in your mind. Your own thoughts become a vibe. It’s like you are still thinking but the thoughts are so gentle that it feels like you are not. The layers of black fits every occasion. Business attire loves black. Gothic loves black. Even funerals love black. Which makes me think why is a beautiful color like black so sad in a way. One reason I guess is because there is danger associated with the color.

    Safe & Dangerous

    Nevertheless there is also safety associated with black. Have you ever heard of a little black dress? If you are going for sexy but also trying to slim down it is the dress of choice. It is safe because the color slims you down but it is dangerous because it is little. Ladies by the way you will get more respect by throwing away the little black dresses. I just had to throw that in there because I believe that we should dress with a level of respect for ourselves. Guns are black in most cases and also carry a level of danger and safety. You won’t see too many people with a white gun. In human designs white colors are used to represent pure and clean. Which makes sense because stains can easily be seen on white.

    If I am being honest white really does represent a level of purity. I can’t really agree that black represents danger but sixty five percent of it does. The remaining thirty five percent represent peace and safety. Still, I do have a question. Have you ever seen a black or a white human? I know I haven’t. Both of these beautiful colors represent different things. Racism decided to put color labels onto humans. All to brainwash the world into thinking that Caucasian people are pure and African Americans are dangerous. I do think that some designs like all black at funerals are used to make the color black seem depressing and sad. Death is one of the saddest realizations.

    Programming The Masses

    With the color black being associated with so much disparity, giving a black label to African Americans is programming the masses to associate a certain group with disparity. It is a subtle meditation that programs a group to play out the role of hopelessness. Furthermore this enables the attempts of placing “black” people at the bottom. Like many have pointed out before in other countries people are not defined by such labels. In Mexico their people are Mexican. In Jamaica their people are Jamaican. Nonetheless, in Africa their people are African. In Europe their people are European. Notwithstanding, in Japan their people are Japanese.

    Now why is it that in America people are being labeled with labels that strip away all culture? Many African Americans have stated that they prefer not to be called a black person. Why won’t America listen to these concerns? America has these labels in place to keep the world brainwashed. Black and white people don’t exist. Give those colors back to purpose. America if you don’t have a name for your people; why didn’t you just call all of them Americans? I am sure that labeling people as black and white was a well thought out plan in America’s racism. Personally with all of the mental and physical abuse that has been done on the citizens of America; I would rather African Americans and Caucasian Americans come up with their own labels for what they want to be known as.

    No Longer Needing Acceptance

    Then again why did they need to come up with black and white people; when African American and Caucasian American clearly makes more sense. Due to America’s history of racism I understand why we can’t all just be American; too much hurt is there. At this point, I would be ashamed to be American. Still, America’s labeling of black and white is practicing racism. The layers of black are many. So often the purity in black is never acknowledged, but always subconsciously seen. Since these labels have been placed on African American people to cause harm; I would say, never underestimate the layers of black.

    The inspiration for writing (God Didn’t Stutter) is most times the people that say someone else is in a cult don’t even follow or understand the bible they claim is their manual for their own religious beliefs. This is not to say there are no cults; but the term is often used to bully those who don’t want to follow the crowd. Anything that corrupts the Most High’s ways are the real cults. Always use your discernment.

    I heard that a small group of organized people with the same beliefs were a cult… religious beliefs or practices regarded by others as strange or Sinister is googles top search results… If you ask me a large religious group is bullying the little people with organized insults.. So I guess the broad path is what the world instructs..It doesn’t matter how many people self-destruct.. that was made clear in the normal consult… I and a small group of people still believe that the Messiah came to make mankind’s laws erupt, without changing not one pin drop of what the Most High constructs.. so does that make us a cult? For following our father’s rules that mankind attempted to corrupt.. my father says in his word that the path is narrow so following the crowd should make you to hit a screeching halt… So what is a cult? My new definition of a cult is the broad path that made many lives end abrupt.. sounds sinister to me.. sounds like Satan’s worshippers to me.. So how do you believe in God if his word you chose to deduct? You can’t have it both ways it’s time you bow down on your knees and stop counting on your luck..

  • Loving The Most High

    Poem titled Loving The Most High

    Misconception Of love

    At the age of 25 my eyes were first opened to have an understanding on what loving the Most High is and his requirements of those that love him. I started a relationship with the Most High years earlier at 21 years old but it was without a good understanding of how to properly serve him. At that point it was mainly focused on trusting the Most High in what he can do for me.

    In return I attempted to be my own version of what I thought was serving the Most High. You know just the basics of being kind and trusting God. I was still under the mindset that as long as I say please forgive me for my sins on my last breath of life I was going to heaven.

    Fake Love

    It was like I trusted the creator but I didn’t have anything to make me take the relationship seriously. I had no understanding of the bible at that point. Although I attempted to read a scripture here and there. Nonetheless it was in my heart to serve our creator.

    The problem was I had no real idea on loving or how to serve the Most High. Eventually with that mindset my relationship with the Most High was put on the back burner. There was no real obligation to keep me steady.

    Love Is A Action

    A lot of our relationships with the Most High starts and stops at how much he loves us. When the main topic that matters is; how much do we love him? The Most High loves those that love him. With that being said love is an action. If you love someone you care about what hurts them and what makes them smile.

    We never want to disappoint who we love. You see, the Most High does not need our validation. So you or me saying God knows I love him while breaking his commandments every chance available is not love. That is flattery; which the Most High could care less about meaningless words.

    Laughter Turned Eye Opening

    At age 25 I was actually on periscope watching videos and there was a man that caught me and my husband’s attention when talking about racial issues. We thought it was highly entertaining because he was going in and making a lot of sense. I won’t say his name because he eventually became Islamic. I don’t want to offend this gentleman but all of this is a part of the story.

    In no way do I want to disrespect anyone’s spiritual beliefs but before his switchover he gave a powerful piece of advice. With that being said I did not keep up with his videos so I don’t know what he teaches now. What I took from those short few months of his teachings in every video he said read the bible for yourself. I still appreciate the valuable information that I learned from him during that period of time in my life.

    Stay On The Path

    My belief is that we as people can get off of the path if we become a person that seeks to be the smartest in the presence of people. Everything we learn has to be with the intention of building an intimate relationship with the creator. In general if we seek spiritual information outside of the Most High, the creator can not dwell within our spirit. He allows us to get off of track when it becomes more about our mission than his.

    If you truly trust the Most High to do all things then you wouldn’t have other spiritual things as a backup plan. When you build a loving relationship with the Most High there will be many things that will attempt to severe the bond. One thing that I know most people struggle with is doubt during hard times. Those are the times to trust in the creator like never before.

    You Can’t Love Through Someone Else

    Nevertheless during the time that I was watching him he was representing loving the Most High. He talked about obeying the laws and its importance. The main thing that I took away from this gentleman is he would always say read the word for yourself. If you read the word for yourself even if your pastor decides he no longer is a follower of the Messiah; it won’t have you questioning your own beliefs. With that, being said the Messiah is a follower of the Most High. Therefore, because the holy spirit comes directly from the Most High and imbedded within the spirits of Mankind; it is okay in my humble opinion to follow the Most High directly and not through a Messiah. Every Messiah is a leader and also a man. Matthew 12:32 32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.     Also if you read for yourself you will start to learn what the Almighty actually requires of us. I took those words into my heart and I did just that. While reading the word I truly got to know who the Most High is; and started to practice loving him. How can you truly love someone that you don’t try to get to know?

    Intimate Love With The Most High

    I built an intimate relationship with the Almighty. It was then that I realized that he didn’t create me so that he can serve me. So often we hear God got you; but do you got God? He created us to serve him. In return he will build you in every way beyond your imagination. This life we live is short but eventually we go on into eternity. Which eternity do you want to dwell in? Even before eternity, when you follow the Most High you will never feel alone in your life.

    No matter the situation you will always be able to feel his presence in the midst. I think that there are so many times where we don’t allow the Most High to work things out for us. It is because we get stuck in our own vision of what life should look like. If you are following the Most High, allow him to lead you. I leave all of you with the advice that helped me. Read the word for yourself and might I add pray for understanding. 

    Ecclesiastes 12:13-14

    13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

    14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

    My inspiration for writing “In due time” is it seems the more you try to be a decent person, the more people give you problems. I wanted to give some validation to people going through this by letting you know that I get it. You are not alone. You deserve to hear that sometimes. Through the Most High we can be there to pick each other up when we are feeling down.” -Author Urban Poems-

    Let’s be honest, you were nominated… Guilty for being honest is the reason why you’re hated.. incriminated for daring to go against the zombie matrix.. They chose the life of being faded.. hearts drunk and infiltrated.. your presence makes their life a little complicated.. their forced to think about their actions and can no longer be exonerated.. so they team up to make your logic seem underrated.. but always asking questions just to make you feel shaded.. they want you irritated… Attempting to make your soul dark jaded.. saying join us the darkness is highly rated.. join or prepare be agitated.. with their demons fully concentrated.. it’s like their demons infatuated with keeping you suffocated.. all to stop you from navigating.. so you choose to be quiet, now they mad you won’t escalate it.. doubting your strength, they really thought you’d be dominated.. but it’s time you feel validated.. moving on your heart is truly unpenetrated.. maybe scarred, but God is why you’re vindicated.. through it all you’re amazing, you’re smart, you’re caring, your laugh is needed and appreciated.. this moment is for you it’s time you feel elated.

    The inspiration for this poem (Never Cross Yah) is reminiscing on each time that I went against God to please a person there were consequences. Each time that very same person would turn on me. It is almost like the Most High says if you value their opinion over mine, then I will leave you to it but without my protection.     Man I don’t even know where to start.. but fuck it you let us get to this broken part.. all I can feel is a broken heart…torn in this broken place I call the dark ..this time you did it… As strong as I try to be I can’t take this dart.. to the all the one’s that planned this you won.. I never said I was smart.. so what made you wanna break me down to this broken art.. you tricked me into sinning for you, making my father Yah depart… as hard I tried to stand it seems that evil broke me once again..you won again.. at least in the sight of man.. I’ve never been broken and didn’t arise stronger than when I began.. and this one hit hard.. so on this next race I’m gone run faster than I ever ran.. if this is it, I learned my lesson to never cross God’s plan.

    Sensitive People Notice Everything

     Toxic-people love sensitive individuals. Sensitive people notice everything from tone or how a sentence was worded. Which makes them extremely reactive and easy to extract energy from. Most sensitive people can literally be mentally abused in plain sight and no one will notice it except them. Toxic people love this because they can extract energy without taking responsibility for the outcome. In fact loving the outcome. You will notice that after a toxic person belittles their victim their mood will even brighten up. It is as if they just drank an energy drink.

    That is if they think their insult landed. If it does not land after a few tries a toxic person’s mood becomes extremely depressed. Like a flower that hasn’t been watered. They need your energy. A sensitive person to them is an unlimited supply of energy. This is why toxic people love sensitive individuals. I watched a video years ago and in this video the woman explained it so well when she stated that these people actually regulate themselves through you. This is true. I have seen toxic people have emotional breakdowns from not being able to trigger their target.

    Don’t Allow Them To Control Your Comfort

    The worst thing you can do is let these people force you into seclusion. That is going to have your emotions all over the place because you are allowing them to control your life. They are stopping you from being you because you don’t want to deal with their temper tantrum. Their antagonizing behavior is more of a reflection of how they feel about themselves than you. In fact, hurting you is all about them trying to balance their own negative emotions by destroying your positive emotions.

    Toxic-people love sensitive individuals as if draining your energy is their life force. If there were energy infusions similar to blood transfusions sensitive people would be paid to donate energy. You are not responsible for their negative emotions. Don’t play their game but also know your rights to own your peace. It literally hurts them to see you happy. In a family or group setting you can’t always just confront a toxic person about their actions. Most times the whole group knows the person is toxic but will all say they haven’t noticed anything. Here’s the good one: “you take things too personal.” As time goes on you will notice that the toxic person causes hell for everyone.

    You Don’t Have To Prove Anything

    Nevertheless you don’t want to stick around to find out. Simply because you know what you went through and you don’t need anyone else to validate it. Most times there is at least one other person in the group that is also toxic but probably seems like the nice one at first glance. The rest of the group is so used to it that they don’t understand why you are complaining. It is important for you to acknowledge if you have to be around that person again that yes the things they did or their intent did hurt you. You didn’t lose any battles in a game that you are not playing.

    Before you knew what you were dealing with you probably indeed played their game by simply trying to defend yourself. Or even wasting your time trying to show them the error in their actions. They love that because it’s like a new opportunity to disappoint you. Acknowledge that if a person is constantly trying to trigger you that you are not a weak person for reacting. Acknowledge what you went through. The second most important thing is for you to know that a toxic person’s goal is to trigger you. This will help you to be less triggered once they do what you already knew they would.

    Their Energy Is Demonic

    There is a very dark energy surrounding these individuals. They literally all do the same thing but in different ways. It doesn’t matter how smart or dumb they are, their goal is the same. Which is to trigger you. Sensitive people held on to their vulnerability which helped them identify their flaws and improve themselves. Toxic-people hate and love this about sensitive individuals. They love that they can exploit it and hate that you are comfortable in your own skin. Acknowledge that you can not be better than these people at their game. Trying to be more evil than them is like a new employee trying to out work a 10+ year veteran employee.

    Nevertheless you can be better than them at your game. Which should be improving yourself, living your life on your own emotional gauge, and rejecting theirs. Becoming like them is exactly what they want. After behaving like them for so long you will corrupt your own character. You will exhaust yourself trying to play a game that is first and second nature to them and not in your nature at all. You could probably very easily crush the little bit of human left in these people but you will hurt yourself doing that. As a matter of fact I don’t think you will crush them all. The demon in them would just pat them on the back for doing a good job at turning you.

    Sorry That I Am Not Sorry

    I believe that as a small child some toxic people were sensitive but their spirits were broken. They probably learned fast that life is easier as a villain. After denying vulnerability for so long I believe that being a villain became their complete self identity. It’s impossible to feel sorry for them because they usually hate you for caring and will use it against you. I have had toxic people use my invitations to help them as a reason to insult my competence. Not anymore, I refuse to build a house for a person who is tearing mine down. These people will actually defend people who refused to help them and criticize the one person that helped them.

    Your kindness is simply an invitation to be exploited for a toxic person. If you have kids with the person or have to deal with them always keep your feelings out of all cordial interactions. Kind of treat the situation like a professional occasion. Remember, you are not responsible for their negative emotions. That to me is the only way to be around these people without them sucking the life out of you. “Toxicity needs your energy like needing water; let it die of thirst.” Always remember you are not playing their game. Your focus is to remember that their emotions do not belong to you.

  • Color Blue

    The feeling of the color blue

    Blue Is Not What It Seems

     Healing is blue to me. Therefore I think the color blue deserves a second chance. I love the color blue. After all, blue is the color of the sky and resembles the ocean. The color is so calming. I wonder how a term for sadness became “feeling blue”. In my opinion it should be called “feeling red or grey”. Red is the color of blood which is not a peaceful thing to think about. Not knowing my worth was the color red for me. I didn’t just become a person of morals and spiritual conviction overnight.

    Subconsciously Worthless

    There was a time when I subconsciously thought I deserved nothing. No apology for being mistreated. No food if there were two plates and three people. Short of no say on how I should be treated. Nevertheless, I didn’t know that I was doing these things. It was all subconscious because if I had known I would have stopped it. I have never been afraid to defend myself. However when it came to me I had no standards. Which is weird because when it came to others I would defend them even if I had to stand alone.

    Punishing Yourself

    For all of that I taught people that I was a tool to be used. Through me not loving myself I gave others who use your weakness against you permission to mistreat me. No I am no angel I have hurt people also, but I learned from it. I made amends by choosing not to be that person; but I never forgave myself. Still, I was extremely selfish up until around the age of 21. Life was lived day to day not thinking about the trespasses of yesterday or the consequences that were ahead of me. Life was red for me and I hit many rock bottoms to get to blue.

    Thinking They Got Away With It

    One thing that I can say is that a lot of times I learned from my mistakes. Which is how I became a person that I can be happy with today. Through the years of me learning that I also deserve to be treated fairly I have noticed a strange thing about people. I’ve learned that when a person hurts you and you don’t address it; they feel as if they did no wrong. If you dare to separate yourself or decline their request because of their record of manipulation, they feel wronged. It is as if they truly think that what they did is not a factor in your decision.

    Accountability Test

    See when I was wrong I knew why I was being told no. That’s how I learned from it through accountability. My grandmother’s are who I hurt the worst. The two people in my life who were there for me. I almost want to cry just thinking that I hurt these two beautiful people. How did I become a genuinely decent person you ask? I was given the whooping of my life by my bad decisions and the Most High. Everything was taken from me. I was thrown in a hole so deep that it was utter darkness.

    Growing Through The Pain

    While I was sitting at the bottom of the pit I had time to truly reflect on who I wanted to be. So I started climbing and climbing and climbing until I reached the surface again. While climbing I picked up so much armor I didn’t even recognize myself. I couldn’t have done it without the almighty Yah. Although it was hard I abandoned red and met the color blue. I still am not good at saying you hurt me. Although I don’t allow myself to be mistreated; I tend to ghost anyone who I feel hurt me. I don’t like to talk about it. Anytime that I have told most people what hurts me it is used against me.

    I share this because I want you to remember to value others but don’t forget about you. Don’t punish yourself forever for the past. With true repentance you deserve a second chance. People who you hurt in the past may not give you a second chance. Although things are that way, they also deserve their space to heal. If that means that you can’t be a part of their life, love them enough to apologize and give them their space. Once you do that forgive yourself. Don’t let nobody tell you that you deserve to be treated less than a human. Love yourself, you are worth a second chance. Let red be a thing of the past; you deserve to feel blue.

    I was inspired to write this poem (Ah Hehe Hell) because black television downplays the fight of activists. It seems to try to portray them as if they have mental issues for wanting to be treated fairly. Black television all together pushes a negative brain washing narrative. I can’t even watch a show without seeing something that irks me anymore. -Author Urban Poems-

    Why are black sitcoms making fun of black activists.. shows like black-ish.. have me heated as they play out our active risk.. using black actors to turn our pain into a diss.. bad acting depicting abolitionist.. making jokes like painting the snow black.. and have us thinking, that’s a group of extremists.. so called actors displaying violence with a kiss.. how much did they pay you to keep our brains in bliss.. to keep your own on a list.. the message is to kill black concerns by using their own fist.. mannn.. you gotta be dumb if you still don’t get the gist.. Being a sale out is Anthony Andersons biggest wish.. but he’s no worse than Martin or the rest who keeps their heads in the mist.. claiming it’s all comedy while serving a laugh within a hiss.. destroying us slowly is Hollywood’s biggest hit.. Y’all helped them with their mission to demolish and dismiss… Man I’m just shaking my head.. how did we go from strong to doing anything for a bone.. black entertainment is just a terrible remix.

  • Stay True To Yourself

    Poem titled Stay True To Yourself

    What Brings You Joy

    This morning I watched the breakfast club; and the topic was “what brings you joy?”. Admittedly I like this show since it started airing on B.E.T. The host gave their perception of what makes them happy and so did the guest who called in. Charlamagne stated “that your happiness is what makes others envious.” While I can see where he is coming from and agree; I do have a slightly different opinion. I believe that it is your courage to stay true to yourself that makes some people envious.

    Staying True To Your Weird-ness

    With that being said if you stay true to yourself it will also bring you happiness. Staying true to yourself does not mean giving yourself permission to destroy yourself. It does not mean that you should get drunk everyday because that’s what you like to do. That’s just self destruction. When I say this I mean stay true to that person in you buried beneath all of the barriers you have placed as a way to make it through. Stay true to the goofy outfits you like to wear that never match. This one’s for me. I truly love to wear tacky clothes for some reason.

    In complete transparency when I wear a tacky colorful outfit that is comfortable; I feel like I am on top of the world. I have these one pair of pants that I think are just awesome; but I have been called farmer Jane while wearing these pants. I mean like someone started singing a whole song singing “Farmerrrrr Janeeee….” Admittedly, I truly honestly don’t know how to dress that stylish. That’s okay because everything is not for everybody. Your outfit does not determine who you are. With that being said if you are into style; do your thing and don’t let nobody make you feel guilty about it. Stay true to you.

    You Can’t Have True Joy Without The Most High

    One way to know if you are doing it for you is to ask yourself “Would this be my decision if no one is watching?” Also take note that everything I say is with the use of discretion. Don’t go outside butt naked because you want to stay true to yourself. Staying true to myself consists of placing my relationship with the Most High first. That alone created all of my other values. Which a few are standing by my morals, integrity, and values. I will give up anything if it comes between these things. I thank the Most High for the day that he placed my pride and ego in a shredder. It was the day that changed my entire destiny.

    It was the day that gave me joy. Through every decision I can be happy knowing that I am staying true to myself. True happiness to me can not come from an outside source that is worldly. Only the Most High can give true joy. With that being said it is not natural to be happy 24/7. I don’t want to tell you to aim for happiness. You should aim to understand yourself and your emotions. Learn about yourself and improve the things about you that compromise your true inner being. Fight anything within you that tries to steal core values.

    Your Morals Will Be Tested

    When you make this decision you will be tested and that’s when you have to stand ten toes down. When you come out of the other side of the test it will solidify your values. After that, the majority of the time staying true to you is easy. Although every once in a while you have to pull out your boxing gloves to let it be known that you are still with the core values. Getting to know yourself, being honest with yourself, and most of all keeping the Most high first will always lead you to joy. The Most High is a teacher that will teach you all things that you need for this thing called life.

  • New is In The Air

    New is in the air

    Something Feels New

    Today is the shape of new-ness. I can feel something new is in the air. Something that is better and peace colors the lines of the circle. This new thing that I feel lets me know that all will be okay. Today’s shape is a full circle. It is a floating circle on a destination to something good. I imagine it in my mind as a beautiful day with the sun at the perfect angle followed by a light breeze. The city is beautiful and everyone has a destination. Mine is not totally clear; but I am walking in the right direction to get there.

    All Of The Necessary Strides

    I make all of the strides necessary to make it to the new and beautiful destination. Although at times I feel a little nervousness in my belly; a force greater than me places one foot in front of the other. It is like a maze that has different levels. Every time I reach a new level it proves that the work is necessary. I love the work and new discoveries. When new is in the air; I love jumping right in and breaking down the walls of the fear of the unknown. Of course that is with the use of discretion of whether it’s a wall worth breaking.

    Putting One Foot In Front Of The Other

    There are so many things that I have learned from simply putting one foot in front of the other. Also willing to accept what is and what is not. With that I determine if “what is” and “what is not” is truly what the term says. The truth never lies and a lie always has holes in the story. I am also learning on this new destination to trust what is revealed is the truth and don’t question your gut. If everything else lies your gut is always telling you the truth. The almighty gives us this ability to steer us and save us from snares.

    Choosing Which Way To Walk

    Not all snares are bad, some are necessary but only when your mind is set on following the right direction of the destination. You may know that you need to walk another way but there are multiple options. So you choose one. You may start walking and someone who could be viewed as a snare tells you that the best way to get there is through the route that you were already going before you rerouted. At first you deny their suggestion because deep down you know that their intentions are not good. It can be confusing when new is in the air because there are risk involved.

    Staying True To Your Destination

    Somehow they managed to convince you to go that route. There is often trial and error when new is in the air. Although you went along you know that you are only going to get to where you really want to go. So you won’t allow yourself to be distracted when you walk through this place. There is no stopping you from getting to the goal. When you get there they tell you “well you’re here so you might as well stay”. In spite of that your mind is already made up and you refuse and then someone comes as a guide and tells you exactly how to get to where you are going. You can feel it in your heart that they are honest.

    Remain Free Of Distractions

    It feels as if the Most High himself placed the voice of guidance in that person at that moment. You never would have got that information had the person who was the snare had not told you to go back the other way. If you were not determined to get to the right destination you would have stayed when the people told you to “stay there is comfort here”. If you had agreed to stay, the voice of guidance would have never arrived. With that being said you need to be free of distractions and determined to make it to the new destination. Once you know this, not even a snare can stop you. The Most High will use every snare to get you to the next level. It is up to you to stay committed and trust the process.

    Today Is Warm & Fuzzy

    Today is warm and fuzzy. The day feels mellow and smells sweet. There is laughter in the atmosphere. Even so, the voices coming from my peers are as beautiful as chimes. All the same my pets are feeling really cozy and snuggled. In addition, the windows let in a nice breeze and the beautiful lighting from the sun enters the rooms. As I feel so happy inside; I can feel the joy in my belly. Furthermore when I awakened I just wanted to roll around in the bed wrapped in blankets like a joyful child that has no stress in the world. Although I have adult struggles at this moment they are in the distance. This moment is so peaceful. I cherish days like these. Furthermore I imagine new ventures that resemble a warm sunny day when the sun feels perfect on your skin. I look around at all of the faces and everyone seems relaxed. What’s more is I dropped my brittle brand new item on the hard floor and it just bounced around and landed as if it was on air. I just feel free in my mind and spirit in this moment. Today is perfect in peace. Today is warm and fuzzy.

    This Poem (Social Anxiety) is inspired by how the current conditions of the world have taken us out of our natural habitat. -Author Urban Poems-

    Social anxiety is plaguing our society.. Kids becoming psychopaths due to no variety.. Going outside is a chore due to media commodities.. Parents act like kids while telling kids to slow it down.. Isn’t that hypocrisy.. No more time to read a book or learn to cook, just stuck in ya phone trying to look, this whole gig is mockery.. Are we just slaves to democracy?.. Go to work, eat fast food, get on your phone and go to sleep, do it again.. we really chilling in atrocity.. Then we die at 65, when did a life not lived all happen in such a short velocity.. It hurts to keep it real but I gotta give you honesty.. This is the average beings philosophy… We’ve all been studied and controlled by scientists methodology.. If you go against the grain they study your whole psychology.. to create new distractions made just for your kind with all of their technology.. Perfect warfare to kill your soul all done with no apology..

    They Hate You

    Haters Like To Be In Your Presence

    Today’s topic of the day is; why do people seek the attention of someone they hate? Throughout life every single person that has grown to hate me attempted to control me. Every person that hates me still attempts to be in my presence. Now I don’t know about you, but I don’t seek to be in the presence of a person that disturbs my spirit. As a matter of fact I have been through a lot in life and I now prefer to be alone or with people that I know their intentions are good. Call it what you want but I am the one that has to live my life. I don’t hate anyone but I prefer not to put too many more heartbreaks on my spirit.

    They Are Always Playing Mental Gymnastics

    Ever since I can remember I have always preferred separation over drama. This can be a good and a bad thing. Some people will understand how much you value your peace. Therefore they will try to muzzle you by disturbing your peace. If you really want to know if a person hates you; be vulnerable with them. They will take that vulnerability and slowly pick away at it.

    It is better to give a person a reason to expose themselves than to keep a wolf in your life. If you are an independent person and everyone comes to you for help, say no sometimes. A lot of people come to you because they know there is no requirement for them to help in your life. So you are like a glass of water that they can drink from, but they never have to fill the glass. Once you say no you will find that these individuals will act as if you betrayed them.

    Give The Real Intention A Reason To Show Up

    It is better that they expose themselves than for you to keep allowing them to drain you of your kindness. These people don’t even think you deserve human decency. For them you are strictly someone to be used to their benefit. They seek your attention because they know that you are a good person. In their mind they feel they need to control how your good deeds are applied to the world. When they are unable to do this you will be like an enemy. Be careful of flattery; in most cases it is used so that devaluation can be effective. Personally, I love when people expose themself. Most likely my spirit already felt it, and now I have a reason to draw the lines clearly. Once they make it clear that they dislike you; you can now say let’s separate ourselves.

    Don’t Allow Them To Steer Your Life

    People want you to be afraid to take the steering wheel in your life. Pay attention because they will never have a problem with you when you are driving your car straight to hell. The issues will arrive when you turn that car around and drive the other way. Something on the inside of them gets triggered by this. It triggers them to be focused on bringing you back to where you were by shunning you. When you decide to live a better life, be prepared to lose people. Always trust that the Most High will give you the people that he deems worthy in your life.

  • Carlos And The Walk

    Carlos and his long walk to the store

    Carlos’s Walk

    There was a young man walking down the street. He was around 19 years of age and his name is Carlos. Carlos is on his walk to the store, but it is 6 miles away. Therefore Carlous takes a shortcut through the woods. The shortcut lessens his trip by 4 miles. There were a lot of risks in this short cut. As well as a lot of risk in the long route. If he took the shortcut he would be tempted by the beautiful girl that lives in the tent near the woods. She seemed to appear out of thin air. While she was away from her tent one day Carlos snuck in to see what it was all about.

    Carlos’s Discovery

    It was the strangest thing ever. There was an expensive temper-pedic mattress topper that she slept on. This topper is worth five hundred dollars in stores. There was expensive jewelry and beautiful clothing. He laid down on the mattress topper to feel the comfort. Under the pillow he found at least 100,000 dollars. Carlos is confused so he leaves without taking a thing. He wonders why there is a girl that is doing so well living in a tent near the woods. He forgets to go to the store and goes home. His Father asks “Carlos that was rather fast; did you get the eggs? I’ve told you many times never to take the shortcut because there are many dangers.” Carlos responds “No Dad, I just went out for a short walk. I will go to get the eggs now.”

    Carlos Makes A Choice

    He thought about the girl in the woods. She was beautiful and she always winked when he came by. She always wore something like lingerie made of deerskin. The girl would whisper “Come here Carlos, I have something to show you. Do you truly want to live a life worth living”? After thinking about it, Carlos decided to take the long way to the store. The walk was so hard with so much sweating involved. After Carlos took so long on the walk, his father thought that Carlos was just playing around again. So he decided to send Carlos’s brother Quinton. Quinton had no question about whether to take the short cut or not. There’s no way he was walking 6 miles there and then another 6 miles back. As Quinton approached the woods he saw this beautiful woman.

    Quinton Makes A Choice

    She whispered “Come here Quinton. Do you truly want to live a life worth living?” He thought it was weird that she knew his name, but she was beautiful. So he went to her and she said “lay with me”, and he did. As he lay with her, she smiled and turned into a large python and squeezed him until he was lifeless. The python smiles as it collects another soul. Carlos is still walking to the store on the 6 mile journey not knowing what happened to his brother. He trips over rocks and scuffs his knee. He drank his 1 bottle of water that he brought. Which made him thirsty and exhausted. It was so hard to cross the streets because it seemed the cars would never stop. He saw a neighborhood girl named Angelica walking also.

    Neighborhood Girl

    Angelica was a sweet girl but very reserved. He thought I could never talk to her while  sweating and looking like this. So he turned his head, hoping that she wouldn’t notice him. Angelica saw him anyway and she saw how much he was sweating. She had at least 5 waters in her backpack and went over to give him one. She said to him “we might as well walk together since the journey is so long”. His embarrassment went away and he smiled. They walked and talked about school days and life. Also laughing together and really connecting as friends. They even had to dodge a couple of cars together while crossing the street. They finally made it to the store and back home. Him and Angelica exchanged numbers.

    The Long Walk

    After a few weeks Carlos realized that his brother would never return home. Carlos mourned him, and never took the shortcut again. Him and Angelica ended up marrying and having 2 kids. They loved the Most High and always placed him at the head of their life. There were trials and tribulations but mostly peace and perseverance. Carlos always took the long way in all of his tasks. He built their house from the ground up using bricks. When there was a tornado their house was the only one on the block with no damage. Carlos always knew that the long way is the only way to have a strong foundation. Nothing overnight is worth having.  Carlos will always remember that walk.

    My Inspiration for writing this poem (Boundaries) is we have slowly lost our ability to say no to things that don’t feel right. We allow this system to villainize our helpers and leaders by dividing us from good counsel all to poison our subconscious mind.

    Being too nice has ruined everything.
    Let’s take a look back at the whole scene.
    Everyone is gay since the delusion of the LGBTQ queens. Why did inclusion have to mean exclusion of the way God made queens…
    Black people are in a daze since the fall of leaders like  Martin Luther King.. His methods of love and knowing how to fight caused change to intervene..
    Martin knew that his enemies were not white, but the system causing friction in between… Now that I know better, I stand beside Martin in,  I had a dream.
    At one point I blamed the man for trying until I learned that he led a great revolution giving me the power  to be considered a human being…
    He knew all along that the tending of segregation was a part of a bigger scheme. To control the black mind by stealing our self-esteem.  Trying to lead his people is why he took one for the team.
    He kindly demanded equal rights showing us how to fight a wicked system and stay lean.
    This was never  about the everyday man, black or white.
    The government stealing our boundaries is the part that really stings.
    You can respect another human and still say no to certain ways that they bring.
    The only thing deaf ears can hear is grace, forgiveness, and is the money green?
    Let’s not forget about blood clots and how saving humanity required taking vaccines.
    Let’s just admit that being too nice gave passive aggressive his wings.
    As long as they say it nice,
    they could pretend that it wasn’t meant to be mean.
    The manual on how to be nice turned humans into robotic machines.
    I don’t know about you, but I’m tapping out of the fake smiles ring.
    Everyone was more loving when keeping it real was a thing.
    I can’t pretend anymore that this is not what it seems.

    As my thoughts troll within my head.. I can’t help but wonder what kind of future lyes ahead.. With dying eyes all around me.. I ponder on how long until all of our souls are dead.. As I stroll through my phone I see the world is full of dread. While google gives suggestions based off the things I read or even the things I said.. I’ve never seen a compass or never used a map.. I’m dependant on Google to lead the road I choose to thread.. With no caution on eating fake bread.. And no knowledge on growing food to be fed.. I can say we’re all handicapped and broken vessels that can only see red.. With no private thoughts.. We’re monitored by secret service feds .We must ask ourselves.. Did we all take the chip? Are we even human? Did we make our own beds? Did we make our own souls shed? Father we need you now.. Please cleanse the many cuts that bled.

    But it’s a two edged sword… because without chores; I’d be bored. At least Staying busy brings
    rewards, like clean floors and open doors, to hallways to bigger doors. Hard work has a
    harvest, so if it’s worth it, I work the hardest,even if I’m not the smartest… because endurance
    reaches targets. Keep your eyes fixed, don’t get caught up in the mix, as long as you don’t quit, or

    (Poem) “Red Pill Blue Pill”

    The inspiration for this poem (Red Pill Or Blue) is as humans we have a choice. -Author Urban Poems-

    Red pill blue pill, you say, I chose the cruise pill. I say cruel deal. You say it doesn’t seem real, because life’s all chill,  life seems fair.. you and your white friend rocking the same hair. You say it doesn’t even matter because we all the same people, yeah I call it sheeple. They say they don’t see color, as long as you don’t mention your brother who was shot by undercovers. I say with the pill I took life seems real. I suddenly like nappy hair and I  scream it to the air. Yeah I took that dare… I can now see a fake smile and your urge to make me frown… Why you wanna see me down… You said your life’s all good so why you wanna take my crown… You say the pill you took gives you worldly things.. Like money and golden rings.. But it doesn’t gives spiritual things. So it just feels like a fling with nothing real to bring.  But blue is your favorite color and it matches all the others so you chose the cool pill… it was the thing to do pill. No one wanted the red pill except for those that were taunted while you flaunted. You asked why I chose it since all the others opposed it. I say it just felt right, it helped me skip that plight. So It made me content inside. I think I chose the right side. I think I like this ride. Red pill blue pill. Try not to take the cruise pill.

    Black Man… I don’t want to be your mama, or the
    one you look up to. You know.. when it comes to being a man, I wouldn’t
    have a clue.. So it’s all on you. Now I ask.. Why am I your role model? Because you see
    when God made man you were the first model… then he made me
