(Poem) “The Enemy”

I am the enemy.

I am the enemy of the state, I am the enemy of hate, I am the enemy of my enemy’s plate.

The enemy of fake.

I am the enemy that makes my enemy’s soul quake..

Why am I the enemy?

I grew tired of the enemy of faith, The enemy of grace, The enemy of the commandments we were meant to embrace..

No more do I adore the enemy of God’s pace.

No more will I ignore my enemy’s frenemy play dates.

No more will I be quiet while my enemy destroys the lakes.

No more will I look away while my enemy raises rates.

I am tired of all the things that my enemy takes.

I am the enemy of disgrace.

The knowledge of eternal life has been stolen from us..

I am the enemy of rape.

I am the enemy.

Made up of 19 lines and five stanzas of three lines goes by the name of Villanelle. Limerick creations are funny and at times can be rude. Ode Musically performed pieces are nice on the ears. Particular subject Elegy is clear and direct. Last but not least there is Ballad that typically tells a dramatic emotional story.
