(Poem) “Reaching Peace”

Father, please help me to find, a peaceful mind.
Wrap me in your spirit when times are trying.
Comfort me when my laughs are overshadowed by crying.
Ease my tension when the pressure is prying.
Lead me to escape all evil plots from binding.
I just want to close my eyes and feel your spirit arriving.
This moment is not about thriving.
As long as I have you, no circumstance
could keep me from shining.
I don’t have to think about competition aligning,
because your love is guaranteed to be reviving.

Made up of 19 lines and five stanzas of three lines goes by the name of Villanelle. Limerick creations are funny and at times can be rude. Ode Musically performed pieces are nice on the ears. Particular subject Elegy is clear and direct. Last but not least there is Ballad that typically tells a dramatic emotional story.
