(Poem) We’re Listening- “My Love”
My love. . . -We listen with our thoughts and hearts/ When your worlds are softer and true
When what falls from your lips comforts and soothes
We listen carefully and quietly when your intentions are not emasculating and dark
For you will always be the sweetest Whisper, the sweetest of Whispers in our hearts
We are quick to convey our love
When what you’re speaking is like the morning dew
You’re constantly pulling our heart’s strings when we know your respect for us is
something old and something new. ️
You must know that there’s a force of darkness
Trying hard to erase the unity of us
Attempting to separate the truest meaning of love that comes only from above
But what we need from you
Are constructive conversations about us
Not one-sided words of aggression
That limits who we are
There’s a kindness we both possess when we’re composed, and assurance is felt.
When we know we have each other’s back, front, sides, and everywhere else
So please let this animosity fade with positivity and faith.
I’ll place the rose petals before your feet as you bask in reassurance and grace. ©

Reader thoughts: This poem titled: (Poem) We’re Listening- “My Love” inspires me as a reader to always be open to and try to understand the complexities of love that exist, even when that love is opposed; while also inspiring me to be the best person I can be to others and most importantly myself.
All Poetry at Urban Poems are for expression only. This particular poem is titled (We’re Listening- “My Love”). Artistic writing literature provides concentrated awareness; that is imaginative. Some forms of creative text attempt to express truths about life, tell a story, or honor God. In addition many different styles cause difficulty in defining. There are 9 different forms of poetry. What’s more, these forms are Haiku; which is an ancient form of Japanese expressions. There is free verse and it is a modern version. Its meaning is the freedom to write in any form.
Furthermore 14 lines Sonnet writers deal with love. Moreover there is Acrostic, which spells out a name, word, phrase or message with the first letter of each line of the poem. Made up of 19 lines and five stanzas of three lines goes by the name of Villanelle. Limerick creations are funny and at times can be rude. Ode Musically performed pieces are nice on the ears. Particular subject Elegy is clear and direct. Last but not least there is Ballad that typically tells a dramatic emotional story.
