Today is lovely. It may not seem lovely to the person who’s on a vacation enjoying a cruise right now, but to me it is nice. The person on private jets weekly, is probably thinking that a cruise is subpar. I am willing to bet that a billionaire who gets in a jet just to grab a bite to eat thinks that weekly jets are nothing special. I am lucky to have a home and warm food. To a homeless person in the midst of their struggle that is a luxury. A person with a terminal illness may think I will rather be homeless any day. For the person that has all of these problems combined; they’re probably wishing they could just choose one and that would make them happy. You see, it’s all in how you see life. It’s not about what you don’t have; it is about what you do have. Of course there is balance. You don’t want to become complacent and give in to your struggles. Obstacles are a part of life so we are constantly striving to grow; but don’t forget the little things that are also the big things. For example breathing. It may seem like such a small thing to think about, but what would you do without it? Have you ever heard the saying “Comparison is the thief of joy. Well it is true. Only compete with the person you were yesterday, and remember to give yourself some grace. No one is perfect, and that’s not to say live your life like a crazy person. It simply means when life throws you lemons make lemonade. You are beautifully and wonderfully made; nothing can take that from you. Remember to show respect to others and don’t forget about you.  ????
