So-Called Advocate
Black women and men are determined to compete with one another. This morning I am watching the breakfast club on B.E.T. While watching this episode there is a guest; I don’t know her name. However the conversation is about the guest downing the working class community of Black Americans. It was stated that she is engaged to a White American, but claims to advocate for black men. If this is the case she has no valid opinion when it comes to a black man. In addition she stated something to the effect of Black women buying more homes than Black men. Which I think is a very ignorant statement for a so-called black advocate.
Determined To Compete
Statements like this cause black men and women to compete with each other. If we compete with each other there is no progress for the whole of Black Americans. In a previous article I used an example of a black man competing with his woman due to insecurities; but that statement does not relieve the black woman of her part in a competition of insecurities against the black man. I could go into details but I choose not to because I know that people will use it to change the point of this article. Although we already know some of the insecurities that go on in the black community on both ends.
Conclusion
The point is to stop competing with each other in general. It is very childish to keep saying well he did this and she did that. I almost wonder if some people are just far too childish to rehabilitate to make a better community. Honestly I think that we will have to gather a civilized group of black people that know how to work together and leave the rest to their folly. There are groups of people that are pretending to be black advocates but they are really just in business. They flame the fire of the need to compete with each other. The intentions are not good therefore the advice is harmful. These people hear what they want and make arguments for business. I truly believe our greatest hope is finding like minded Black American and starting something new and civilized.
